Hey folks,

I might have this wrong but it looks to me that all of the DCS systems that are purchased separately are basically run through DCS World ?? Is this correct??

Secondly if so, my 4-5 year old install of A10C... do I need to uninstall it and then reinstall it through World 2.5?? Or do I keep it as separate?

The reason I ask is I bought the F18 and I believe that I need my DCS World to be installed and running in order to install the F18... correct??

Thanks in advance and sorry if it is already covered somewhere.

Cheers

Hi wallace

You can uninstall the A-10.

All you need is DCSWorld, you can download the A-10 using the download manager.

As long as your A-10 is on your dcsworld account you will have no problem.

You can check here https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/licensing/

When you install DCSWorld you will then be able to login and access your aircraft via the download manager ingame.

A guide can be found here https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/400/

hope that helps

Let me take this opportunity to say that it is a tool straight from heaven.

Back in the day we had to download every module on its own, and the modules were completely independent. Nowadays, everything runs through DCS World and the Module Manager. Updates are handled by DCS World automatically, and the keyless activation system also never caused me any problems whatsoever (to be honest, the old Starforce also worked pretty well for me, except for the MiG-21 acting up badly at some point).

It's so easy to focus on stuff that doesn't work, but considering DCS World and the Module Manager, we've certainly come a long way. ;)

Plus, all control assignments can now be done inside the game, even in Multiplayer :)

Hey,

Ya I like the integration of the World control center or whatever you want to call it. Interesting though and I will make another post about my "findings" I have got it all working now but it took some time... it came down to saved games and previous install conflicts I believe... but now all is good.
