PSYKOnz Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 is there a way to turn off the jester wheel in replays? it is still jamming its self on in replays ruining my attempts to do some recording, no matter what i try it won't disappear once it's on also just, in general, I don't need it on the screen during replays has anybody had any success in this area? PSYKOnz Posted July 25, 2019 Author Posted July 25, 2019 PROBLEM SOLVED: just moved the jester wheel onto my second screen in the monitor .lua now even if the glitch happens and the jester menu sticks on it's on the other screen which is not captured by my recording software 1 Tomcat, Tomcat über allen

But are your replays accurate? My replay files are messed up and they don't match what actually happened during the gameplay. Cheers, Real and Simulated Wars
razo+r Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Tracks are inaccurate by nature and all you can do against that is wait for ED to fix the system.
Tinkickef Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Good for you. But are your replays accurate? My replay files are messed up and they don't match what actually happened during the gameplay. Cheers, Indeed. Track replays are worse now than ever. One time you could replay a start up, Taxy out to runway, take off and fly the mission, getting more and more inaccurate. These days you can't make two turns on a taxiway without running onto the grass. PSYKOnz Posted July 26, 2019 Author Posted July 26, 2019 Yea. It makes it pretty difficult for trying to make videos 1 Tomcat, Tomcat über allen
Ramsay Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 A issue I have is replays seem to break at the time I started using the Jester 'wheel' using TIR to select options i.e. I might tell Jester to select A2G ordinance, set ripple settings, etc. but if I've switched to F2 view watching the replay, cockpit views desync and the required weapons/settings aren't selected (nothing drops). I haven't tested if my replay problems go away if I limit Jester interactions to the keyboard. i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440

Ramsay Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Replays usually don't work correctly for any other than FC3 modules, unfortunately :-( Most of my replays work fine* provided they aren't longer than 40 min or involve ground fire (AAA) or low level flying. In the M-2000C, I've had a 40 minute dogfight playback perfectly until shortly after touchdown - I think the brakes locked up and it skidded off the runway in the replay. The F-14 has been similar, with MP and SP dogfight tracks playing back reasonably well - some times the A2A missile (AIM-54, etc.) misses or goes for chaff/flares whilst they hit IRL, etc. but that's a DCS thing. The notable difference using Jester is munitions i.e. TALDs, don't release - perhaps because the TIR input ? is desync'ed, Jester's 'wheel' doesn't close and the weapon isn't selected. *That's of course with the proviso they were recorded in the same version as playback and use the same control scheme i.e. non-FFB replays won't always play correctly unless FFB is disabled in DCS i.e. UH-1H tracks i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440

I can't find the monitor.lua anywhere. Does it work retroactively?
