Anyone know the file names for the Destroyed Trees ?

 

If you destroy a wood the fire looks great but it removes all the tress completely and leaves nothing behind, would like to fix that.

is it possible to model some different trees and make them as destroyable static objects? I would think that you might even be able to just make a t-like thin model like the tree, and when you skin it, would be the same skins as the textures for the trees right now. I do not know if this is possible with my limited knowledge of modeling in lockon. (Or just modeling period). I also know that it would be impossible to place all the trees, but if we had the ability to just place a few ourselves in the mission editor near target areas might just add for some wild crashes.

 

Just brainstorming.

I have been usings Birdy's guidance for creating more static objects, with lots of new trees in and around the air bases, adding to his already excellent mod. Also adding new buildings, hangars etc etc, just to see how far I can take it before my machine decides enough is enough.

 

Trees are a problem, it takes forever to place them just right and I find the huge fire they create when you zap them is very demanding on fps. I thought I might be able to remove the fireball and leave the trees, but from what you have said it appears that is not possible.

But esteem with the tip from Birdy! With me did not function the Su-25T TV-aiming (AC-Mode) afterwards. However, can have lain also on me ;) after a hand rework of the structtable.sht all fine now.

Solved one part of the puzzle, to make the trees survive all sorts of destruction go into the StrucTable.SHT file and change the trees life value to 50,000,000 for each tree entry - the fire burns for about 3 hours but the trees remain for up to 6 hours at least.

 

Still trying to work out how to reduce the fireball size to some sort of acceptable fps level.

I tried several values to see how long they would remain, I think a setting of 5000 made them last about 2-3 hours, then they still disappeared, so I simply changed each line entry to 50,000,000 for each tree type, it only takes a few minutes to do and with that value they remain on the map for as long as you are likely to be flying over them.

Sorry, should also mention I am using the trees add on Mod made by Birdy, that adds a whole load of tree types to the Mission Manager, if you do not have that mod installed the trees will not be in the StrucTable.SHT file, so you will not be able to change the values.
