D4n Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 From what I experienced so far on multiplayer servers, when I'm ready to launch (in my F-14) and a Hornet player is on the catapult next to me, there is no visible sign (head-shake or hand signal or so) of the pilot to the direction of the (imaginary) launch crew next to the Hornet to signal the launch crew that he's ready to be launched. Please add asap, so that I can issue my launch command directly after the Hornet players issued their launch command. (so that I can launch my Tomcat directly after the Hornet, for dual-launch, like they do IRL, which looks amazing for everyone in the vicinity of the carrier.) Larkis Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Until we got that, when the hornet lights the can, its the best sign that he will get shot in the next 5 seconds. So maybe you could salute when the hornet afterburner kicks?
D4n Posted September 18, 2019 Author Posted September 18, 2019 "lights the can", not "... cans" since it has 2 engines? :P DCS Wishlist: 2K11 Krug SA-4 Ganef SAM, VR-TrackIR icons next to player names in score-chart PvP: 100+ manual player-kills with Stingers on a well known dynamic campaign server - 100+ VTOL FARP landings & 125+ hours AV-8B, F-14 crew, royal dutch airforce F-16C - PvP campaigns since 2013 DCS server-admins: please adhere to a common sense gaming industry policy as most server admins throughout the industry do. Gierasimov Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Not realistic. Until we got that, when the hornet lights the can, its the best sign that he will get shot in the next 5 seconds. So maybe you could salute when the hornet afterburner kicks? Not only this isn't realistic but also does not happen all the time. Standard procedure is to set the throttle to MIL and not MAX. By default with LB down, the jet is configured to go to MIL and if needs to go to burner you need to use finger lifts if burner is really needed. For hundreds of DCS Hornet shots I did so far, only one was with burner - for the fun of testing finger lifts. Harker Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Which finger/fingers is/are used for "finger lifts" ? He means the finger lifts on the throttle. With WOW (or is it just when the LB is down?), you need to lift two finger lifts on the throttle in order to push it beyond MIL. In the air, you don't need to lift them to go to AB, you just push the throttle past the detent. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3499502&postcount=2 The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Larkis Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Does that fingerlift work? I tried it once but i cant get the throttle out of idle even when pressed fingerlift and when i go 100% on throttle they still light the cans without touching that fingerlift.
