bumblebomb Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Anyone have a good idea for a mod to the WH throttle to have "feelable" click when going AB? I know *roughly* where the trigger point is but would like a switch like the guide rails in the real bird.

grant977 Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 I can vouch for the push though detent it not only give ya a little more mil power length but it’s so much better than the default lift.
bumblebomb Posted September 23, 2019 Author Posted September 23, 2019 I removed the AB detent completely so the throttle goes through in one movement without lift, I'd like to keep it that way actually. I tried that one, from a 3D printer, it's on Thingyverse, bit notchy, but that could have been a settings issue.
Fusedspine33 Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 This one isn’t notchy, and is about the only thing around to let you feel when going into AB. It is robust enough to stop you from accidentally going into AB but smooth enough to let you select without sliding it across your desk. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

stuart666 Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Agreed, the Shapeways mod is indeed very good. You can find the settings for the tomcat on here IIRC. Going off topic, has anyone managed to make good curve settings for the Mig21?
TheSkipjack95 Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Filing the AB detent of the WH is the easiest way to have a push-through detent. Just need to file it by small amounts and test until you can push it through without too much of a hassle. I did it months ago and it's still fine. Agreed, the Shapeways mod is indeed very good. ZeroReady Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 I filed down the included detent and I think it's perfect. No need to lift up at all, feels great. Took some work and I was afraid I'd over do it and lose the detent completely but if you take your time and go just a few strokes at a time at the end it will come out nice. Once you get started it'll be clear where you need to file down.
