hey to all

I have a little issue when I begin from Stennis. When I go from ramp or parking hot, when I attach to the catapult the aircraft starts trembling and never takes off. When I try runway hot everything its ok. Any idea?

Thanx

A track would be nice to see what's going on.

I've had similar issue couple of times. The problem was silly ATC (Lockon era leftover).

Now, I don't request any clearances before taxi or launch. I do set one of the radios to land/launch frequency (I set it to 127.500) and start taxiing when safe. As soon as "controller" starts repeating "hold position" over and over I switch to a different channel and ignore him.

After hookup to the shuttle I go back to tower channel and the launch clearance comes in automatically. Launch bar switch to up, power to mil or full and...:pilotfly:

This was the issue I've had, I'm sure there might be other problems.

I saw this thread and funnily enough, I experienced it today for the first time. I was doing some CASE I training and hooked back to the catapult after landing on the carrier. Couldn't launch.

Could it be due to the "bug" where you need to place wheel chocks and then remove them prior to take off from a carrier? The Grim Reapers actually found a work around for it, and ED posted it in there official updates post as a temporary workaround. Wondering if the pitching deck is taking effect and somehow causing an issue. If the issue is persistent for you, or any other. If you are hooked to the catapult to start the mission, press U to unhook, then retract the launch bar. Request wheel chocks and the request to remove. Extend launch bar, press U to hook back up to the catapult, then take off and try to land and launch again - see if that fixes your issue.

Good to know, thanks. I didn't know there was a workaround. If it happens again, I'll try that.

Perhaps the problems could be intertwined but that video is for a temp fix on a completely different problem.

I'm in the same boat (pun!) as Preendog. I've never asked for clearance and I've never seen this bug. It isn't for a lack of trapping and catapulting from carriers on my part.
