mvsgas Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 (edited) You guys know you can get a lot of high quality photos just by going to any AF.mil website. For example: tyndall.af.mi Holloman.af.mil and langley.af.mil Lt. Col. Dirk Smith, 94th Fighter Squadron commander, and Maj. Kevin Dolata, 94th FS assistant director of operations, turn in on final approach to Langley Air Force Base, Va., Friday, March 3, 2006, to deliver the first F-22A Raptors assigned to the 94th Fighter Squadron. Lucas_From_Hell Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Nothing really fancy, just some shots from the runway: T-27 Tucano (EMB-312) of the Air Force Academy: A-27 in old grey camouflage (except by the Academy and Esquadrilha da Fumaça, all squadrons upgraded to A-29): T-27 in unusual painting: A-1 (AMX): And two-seater: A-1B in old grey camo: AT-26 Xavante (MB-326) of the 1st Squadron of the 4th Aviation Group "Pacau", nicknamed "Fighter's Sorbonne". Being retired :( The squadron will receive F-5M aircraft. F-5EM: F-5F of the 1st Squadron of the 14th Aviation Group (in old grey camouflage): The good ol' F-5E (1st Fighter Group): Special painting, celebrating 30 years of the F-5 in Brazil. This time, another plane from the 1st/14th, in special painting celebrating 58 years of the squadron. Navy A-4 Skyhawk: Give a check on this website (airfln.com.br), some nice pictures there. Maybe I'll post some more... 1

Lucas_From_Hell Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Tucano or Super Tucano? The first one has some weird parts (maybe is that low cockpit), but looks darn nice still. Super Tucano is truly beautiful in every aspect. Nice lines, and has one hell of a nice sound. You may find it ugly, I find it wonderful :D
Eddie Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Tucano?! With pylons?! What sort of madmen attach ordnance to a trainer? Stop being so cheap and buy a real fighter :D
Bucic Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I mean its sort of downward bent fuselage as opposed to upward bent PZL-130 Orlik fuselage for example Tucano looks like a project of first year student of engineering :P F-5E simpit cockpit dimensions and flight controls Kill the Bloom - shader glow mod Poor audio Doppler effect in DCS [bug] Trees - huge performance hit especially up close
Lucas_From_Hell Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Tucano?! With pylons?! What sort of madmen attach ordnance to a trainer? Stop being so cheap and buy a real fighter :D Well, it used to work, after all :D The standard Tucano was used mainly interception of low-performance aircraft and light attack, before the Super Tucano arrived. EMB-314, MB-326 and EMB-312 as a bonus doing it low (note the awesome lomcevak by the 314): Fighter Aviation Tournament 2008 (note: at 2:51, the bomb which scored a perfect hit was dropped by an A-29 of the 2nd/3rd Aviation Group): And another one (note the formation low pass at 2:15): And Bucic, dear god, the Orlik is horrible! It's just too short! Hell, I stay with the Tucano all the way :D

Looks much better than that BBC 'drama' they did in the mid 90's with Tornado's flying about in a completely unreal Top Gun style.
