For this flight they went up to 56000 feet at mach 1.7 and at -98 degrees(I think F)

 

Nice in-flight video, I liked the sky very high by sukhoi.

 

They use the metric system, so in Celsius must be If I'm not mistaken.

Here is a small documentary of the Venezuelan su-30mks; It is on spanish so I'm going to put some of the info so you guys can understand what is going on.

The two funny looking and guys are reporters who got the chance to fly on the back seats.

For this flight they went up to 56000 feet at mach 1.7 and at -98 degrees(I think F) to test one of the mks after its scheduled maintenance performed by russian and venezuelan technicians. The pilot talked about the suit used for this flight which is a high altitude version; used to prevent death in the event of a decompression in the cockpit. At the end they talk about all the records the su-30 broke in south america: more than 50000 pounds of thrust engine(in south america) speed record 2500KM/H; altitude record 22000 mts.

Hey they didn't do the climb in burners like we do in lomac :megalol:

 

How in the world did they reach 22.000m with Su-30?!!

an Mi-8 crashed there; on top of the reactor; I wonder if they recovered the remains and the pilots?

 

I heard of it but I'm not familiar with outcomes of that crash! This particular Mi-6 I stand next to is today located in Croatia and as you can see is flyable no more. It was an ex Aeroflot MEDEVAC aircraft that served in Ukraine during disaster and helped transport many exposed soldiers and scientist to Kiev. It was flown to Belgrade in 1988 where it was supposed to be turned into a firefighting aircraft. It finally ended up in Zagreb in 1991 and with collapse of Yugoslavia it remained there. Today ATF units of Croatian MOD use it for hostage evacuation trainings.

Official data says 18.500 as a max ceiling and if it's really possible then I got few more reasons to nag about Su-27 performance in FC2 and F-15C uberness!

I was gonna say maybe they were testing the barrier, but since it is during an exercise, I think not.
