To be fair, the tail on the wobble copter and its wings seem a bit weak and thin. I am wondering if they could use the tail rotor size instead. I would think they could be shrouded like the tail rotor is, and tucked up under the main rotor. Though this would make the antitorque solution a bit more difficult, and maybe impossible, since the rotors would be basically at the center of the chassis. But, I also wonder why they have not looked at using jets on any of these hybrids. A couple small turbofans could be used and tucked up under the main rotor. Asymetrically modulating the throttle would give the antitorque requirements and provide much more potential for forward speed. Obviously there is a limit to forward speed, and this could be achieved with potentially very tiny antitorque jets.

I am sure they have thought of this, just wonder what the reasons are for not using them. Also, not sure why they have the main engine running the side rotors. I guess it could be a problem to lose an antitorque engine, so keeping all engines tied together could be a good thing.

i believe it has something to do with fod. also you might get some side effects between the prop wash and suction from the jet since you will have more forces acting on the main disk.

In my modest opinion, those big propellers are dangerous. For Rescue operations as well as passengers transport.Obviously it's only a technology demonstrator but it shows the direction taken by the designers, different from the sikorsky X2 and the kamov ka92 concept

The first Moroccan F-16, shown here, is scheduled to fly in the fall of 2010. Morocco, the twenty-fifth nation to

operate the F-16, ordered twenty-four Block 52 aircraft in 2009. The two-tone light brown scheme with gray underside is

unique to the Moroccan Air Force.

27 Aug 2010. French fighter jets killed 4,800 of my chickens, claims farmer

“We were in the house eating. When (the planes) passed overhead, we had vibrations in our backs it was so loud,” he said.

He ran straight to the giant coops where the chickens are kept only to find they had rushed into the same side and lay lifeless in their thousands.

“The chickens were terrified. They were stacked up on top of each in several layers on the same side of the three buildings,” he told the newspaper Ouest France. “If we hadn’t been there, it could have been worse. We separated those we could.”

The farmer, who is in charge of 68,000 fowl belonging to an agricultural co-operative, is demanding between 12,000 and 15,000 euros in compensation.

Hopefully that kind of situation is not modeled in DCS nor LockOn simulators. Edited by Namenlos Ein

25 Different nations use the F-16, that is incredible. Is there any other aircraft that have been used by so many different air forces?

Maybe the Mig-17/21 or the Mirage III

Cool, I think that qualifies the Mig-21 as the most use, which aircraft would be second?

I think the Mig-17 might be second. Is almost as widely used as the 21. F-4 I think is had not more than a dozen or so. F-5 had 5 or 6 I think.

F-104 I think had 13 or 15...I think F-16 is the most sold western aircraft,

The the Top7 I think are MIG-21/17/19//23/29 and SU-17(including all version) /25 in no particular order

The untold Battle of Britain - 303 squadron (British TV documentary)

Apart from multiculturalism propaganda at the beginning this is a great documentary.
