joey45 Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Looks like the nose wheel hydrulics failure.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Griffin Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Su-27 SM a bit damaged ;] As an old and wise aviation mechanic, ;), I'd say it's a gear lock mechanism failure since it's not the hydraulics that are holding the gear down. The gear lock sensors should warn of this kind of situation but I don't know how that particular system has been designed.

Vekkinho Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Unfortunately most of them are in such condition if not worse, I remember travelling across Libya when I visited several airports: Tripoli, Benghazi and some dirtstrips near oil fields in the desert simply called 103D, 105S and such. I was there on business for Austrian oil company called VAOS (Voest Alpine Oil Service) registered in Malta so I had no camera with me, only my cell phone that had really bad camera so the pics of Libyan Foxbats, Floggers and Galebs are rather poor. I must say I saw lots of Foxbats simply sitting around slowly being eaten by sand and sun, it was my first encounter with this monster and I was really hurt when I saw the shape it's in. But even most of the ex Soviet are busted as well, I fail so remember any RUS / UKR MiG-25PD still flyable in 21 st century! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
