USAFMTL Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 Is there a break down somewhere of how many points you need to get promoted or get an award etc? I used to have it on a notepad somewhere and lost it. [sigpic][/sigpic] US Air Force Retired, 1C371 No rank or title will ever be as important as the unit patch you wear.
Mars Exulte Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 Promotions are time based. Start at 15 hours I think and doubles. Medals I think start at 150 or so and double after that Де вороги, знайдуться козаки їх перемогти. 5800x3d * 3090 * 64gb * Reverb G2

Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk Me too.... this log isn't even close to accurate. I've been flying DCS since 2012. Not sure I'd even want to know my actual flight time actually ha ha. Ziptie Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Same, flight hours and logbook have been deleted and started fresh I don’t know how many times with removals and reinstalls, personal errors and that one time: when my vulnerable pilot was tragically lost when the dog was overly excited to see me and had no regard for personal space while wearing VR and in my sim rig. Adult words were used at a non library volume. No animals were injured, only one virtual pilot who found the leading edge of the USS John C. Stennis on final for a landing.... Thanks for posting the scoring and hours details! Gierasimov Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 We had that discussion already Not only it does work for multiplayer but, calculations are off. For US Navy for example, there are no valid ranks, which makes Hornet experience incomplete. Furthermore flight time is calculated from brakes off during rollout, to touch down plus 5 minutes, so, if your brakes off is at precisely 3PM and touch down is 4PM but also you would log 1.1h In DCS, its not even constant, for each mission I fly, I am losing from 7 to even 20 minutes from the time, not knowing why. For these reasons, I ceased using DCS logbook and instead created my own file where I keep records. Mars Exulte Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 @Daarseth I did that one time back when I firrrrrrst starting playing years ago. I had a vulnerable pilot, and I was so methodically careful to protect him.... then I took a break for a while and when I came back I forgot my HOTAS controls. Gear retracted during takeoff or some such and he ended up burning to death I'm pretty sure. Nobody walks away from an inferno like that. There are lots of ways to log. FAA civil is from the time the aircraft moves under its own power for the purposes of flight to shutdown... Some entities log wheels up to wheels down. There are even some that log wheels up to shutdown (which seems to be what they're trying to emulate here). A tenth here or there being wrong is negligible and shouldn't be something to be up in arms about.
