Ifikratis Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Hi all, I am desperately looking to purchase a TM Warthog grip to use for the warthog and F-16 modules with my Virpil VPC WarBRD base. I have contacted TM twice but they insist that they don't sell the grip without the base. The only grip only product that I have found is the RealSimulator F-16 grip (F16SGRH) but at 450 EUR I don't think its wroth the extra money, considering the build quality of the TM grip. So, before hitting the buy button for the Warthog stick+base I would like to eliminate the chance I had been missing something. Does anyone know any way to get the TM stick without the base? Sokol1_br Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 (edited) Curious is that some people in this forum buy Warthog grip only without "fuzzi-uzi", early of latter year or before for ~$120, recently someone say that price increase for $180 - probable shadowing F-18 AddOn grip price "success of sales" in Amazon. :) Edited October 4, 2019 by Sokol1_br
Ifikratis Posted October 4, 2019 Author Posted October 4, 2019 Thank you @Supmua, I'll try that. @Sokol1_br, I agree, I was also motivated reading this thread but was so far I was refused to buy a grip only from TM. | JF-16 Thunder | F-16C Viper | F-14A/B Tomcat | F/A-18C Hornet | AV-8B N/A Harrier II | AJS-37 Viggen | M-2000C | F-5E Tiger II | A-10C Watrhog | F-86F Sabre | MiG-15bis | MiG-19P Farmer | MiG-21bis | FC3 | L-39 Albatros | C-101 Aviojet | SA342 Gazelle | Mi-24P Hind | Mi-8MTV2 | UH-1H Huey | Ka-50 Black Shark | P-51D Mustang | P-47 Thunderbolt | Spitfire LF Mk. Canadus Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Jep. If you contact TMSupport and ask for a replacement stick, they will give you a price. ~135€ plus shipping. Was too much for me, as you can get stick and base for ~165€ here in germany. Ryzen 5800XD - 32GB RAM - Sapphire RX 7900 XTX - VKB Stuff + MFG Crosswind Pedals Homebase: Southwest Germany
Ifikratis Posted October 5, 2019 Author Posted October 5, 2019 Thanks for the further info Canadus. Any idea where I can find this ~165€ ? I'm looking at amazon. Another thing I can't understand is why there are two separate listings both sold by Thrustmaster on amazon, with different prices: https://www.amazon.es/Thrustmaster-HOTAS-WARTHOG-FLIGHT-STICK/dp/B00CCYYC5Q?pf_rd_p=7dd44cb3-ca10-4d6f-8911-550596a6b1c5&pd_rd_wg=nWdSb&pf_rd_r=5F0FG4946JTT04VKMQYY&ref_=pd_gw_cr_simh&pd_rd_w=IMTNH&pd_rd_r=4784a8c2-6496-4d24-bc83-fac82f772065 https://www.amazon.es/Thrustmaster-Hotas-Warthog-Flight-Stick/dp/B00CBVHJ00?pf_rd_p=7dd44cb3-ca10-4d6f-8911-550596a6b1c5&pd_rd_wg=nWdSb&pf_rd_r=5F0FG4946JTT04VKMQYY&ref_=pd_gw_cr_simh&pd_rd_w=IMTNH&pd_rd_r=4784a8c2-6496-4d24-bc83-fac82f772065 Anyone understands what's the difference? | JF-16 Thunder | F-16C Viper | F-14A/B Tomcat | F/A-18C Hornet | AV-8B N/A Harrier II | AJS-37 Viggen | M-2000C | F-5E Tiger II | A-10C Watrhog | F-86F Sabre | MiG-15bis | MiG-19P Farmer | MiG-21bis | FC3 | L-39 Albatros | C-101 Aviojet | SA342 Gazelle | Mi-24P Hind | Mi-8MTV2 | UH-1H Huey | Ka-50 Black Shark | P-51D Mustang | P-47 Thunderbolt | Spitfire LF Mk. Ifikratis Posted October 5, 2019 Author Posted October 5, 2019 What does the quality of a TM stick have to do with the RealSimulator stick? Not even made the same company... I don't understand your comment. I said that because the high build quality of the TM grip, I find spending 450$ for the grip only is excessive in my opinion. This doesn't mean that the RealSimulator grip isn't also very high or higher quality build. | JF-16 Thunder | F-16C Viper | F-14A/B Tomcat | F/A-18C Hornet | AV-8B N/A Harrier II | AJS-37 Viggen | M-2000C | F-5E Tiger II | A-10C Watrhog | F-86F Sabre | MiG-15bis | MiG-19P Farmer | MiG-21bis | FC3 | L-39 Albatros | C-101 Aviojet | SA342 Gazelle | Mi-24P Hind | Mi-8MTV2 | UH-1H Huey | Ka-50 Black Shark | P-51D Mustang | P-47 Thunderbolt | Spitfire LF Mk. Maybe it is a translation (not assuming English isn't native), just as written it was like you were comparing one quality to another etc. RealSimulator has more buttons if that matters. Each button is a 4 or is 5 way HAT switch. norbot Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 I bought a TM Warthog replacement stick from Thrustmaster in 2017. TM offered it for 114 €, shipping fees included. I just wrote a mail to http://support.thrustmaster.com and asked for a replacement stick. The stick was delivered in something like 10 days.
Ifikratis Posted October 6, 2019 Author Posted October 6, 2019 Wow, that's amazing @norbot. crazycanuck Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 Wow, that's amazing @norbot. I really hope they can do the same, I wait for their reply.. Is there any news? I am also trying to get just the Warthog grip but no luck from Thrustmaster. The first time I tried they asked me for proof of purchase. Is my only option to buy a Warthog stick with base?
