The S-J button on the SMS page acts identically to the SWAP button and swaps the MFDs rather than enabling S-J mode and allowing the selection of stores for jettison.

Is this still a WIP thing? I’m only asking, because I’ve just started running into this same issue, and it is four years after the previous posts.

(It only seems to happen when initially selecting S-J on the left display, if that’s of any use … as if the S-J screen always expects to be on the right side by default. After the initial swap occurs, trying a second time appears to work better regardless of which display it has been brought up on.)

Not badgering, I swear … just trying to be helpful. I’m enjoying the heck out of the F-16.

S-J works ok. However, S-J is actually one of the master modes in the F-16. This means it has its own MFD config. And by default in S-J mode, the SMS/S-J screen is on the right MFD.

So when you have SMS on left MFD and press S-J, it switches to S-J master mode, and in that mode by default the S-J page is shown on right MFD.

You can configure the S-J displays just like in other modes: Enter the mode (S-J) and configure displays with the bottom row page switching OSBs (or swap).
