NoPro Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 Hi Folks, so far I was using a Rift S and today I changed to the HP Reverb. Everything is fine so far except one small item which I’d like to address here and maybe you guys can help me out. When I start a flight, let’s say an instant mission, my loading screen is alternating between the DCS loading screen with the aircraft picture and the wmr Portal screen. As soon as loading is completed, everything is fine and works as should be. Any ideas or even a solution how to get rid of this small issue? Hope you understand what I’m referring to ;-) Thanks in advance Cheers
Harlikwin Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 I think there is an option for it to go to the steam page when loading. Never had to mess with it though. Baldrick33 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 In steam VR or where to look/find this option?!SteamVR settings (click on the title bar in the little SteamVR window) and select Developer and either tick or untick "Do not fade to grid when app hangs" DCS loading isn't pretty in WMR either way, I prefer it to drop to the Steam screen or it flickers but play with it and see which is best. I often leave the headset off until it has loaded. jozeff Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Hi! I'm thinking about buying a rift S or the reverb coming from a cv1. Why should I go for the reverb? I need someone to convince me and it sounds like you have the experience.... Thanks Jozeff

I need someone to convince me and it sounds like you have the experience.... Thanks Jozeff I went from a CV1 to a reverb and highly reccomend it if you have the system to run it. Comparing to CV1, FOV is about the same, resolution MUCH better, no real noticable SDE (its there if you look really really hard), the only real downsides are worse color rendering (LCD v OLED), crappier WMR controllers (irrelvant for DCS), and WMR vs Occulus UI. (The win+Y mouse lock thing that WMR does is annoying, otherwise WMR seems to perform better than Occulus). New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. jozeff Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Hi Guys, I have a gtx970, I7 2600 k and 32 Gb memory. I will have to upgrade weather I buy the rift S or the Reverb. Thinking about a 2070 super, i7 9700k and a lot of memory. Currently I have the CV1 and I have doubts about: -the Rift S because I don't know if the resolution improvement is enough compared to the CV1 -the Reverb because I will have to spend a lot of money on the graphics card and I dont know if the colors are vibrant enough and if the brightness is ok. Really looking forward to someone who used the rift s and has the reverb right now!! thanks a lot Jozeff
