Sidewinder always active?

Don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if this has already been reported:

 

After hitting the A-A Button the first time, the sidewinder tone won't go away even after hitting the A-G Button. You always hear the sidewinder in the background.

When you're turning back towards a ground target and the sun passes your HUD, you can hear her locking on the sun.

 

Do I really have to unselect the sidewinder..?

And if so, how do I do it? :huh:

If you hit the A/A button on the UFC, the right MFD should show the current missile selected on one of the OSB’s. Assuming you have both Aim-9’s and Aim-120’s, click on that OSB (can’t recall which one at the moment) and it should switch to the other missile type (I have a HOTAS button set to that OSB for this purpose).

no, I was dropping some iron and only had 2 sidewinders on the tips!

Same issue, I was hearing the tone until I landed...

I can fire both my 9x's and I still get the pipper for the 9x seeker head in my HMCS and the growl.... :)

Same. Missile tone stays after exiting A-A mode. Had to just turn the missile volume knob off.

I'm pretty sure this issue has been reported a while ago.

Also seen this fairly frequently, generally found switching to and from dogfight/missile mode and "normal" mode a few times fixed it.

There's an easier way to fix it: Go to A-A mode and unselect the Sidewinders.

Glad I’m not the only one experiencing this. Thought I was doing something wrong, hopefully a fix in the works then.
