I am curious. Is it really easier to refuel using rudder pedals?

I am training to refuel my picky M-2000 with my X56, no pedal a stiff twist axis, and so far I am struggling...

I never touch'em, unless Im refueling while banking, then I find it easier with a bit of rudder. But straight and level, never - any module.

Applying rudder will yaw the nose, but (initially) it will not change the flight path. Heading changes are always done by banking since lift is the force which makes your aircraft turn.

I was not born, but I am anyway nostalgic of that old heroic and dangerous period. When car racing was about mechanic and not electronic...
