I just bought f16 ant turns out that the arresting hook is not working

 

I hope that it's just me.

1. It's not implemented in the Viper yet.

2. This is the F/A-18C forum. The arresting hook works just fine here.

There aren't any arresting gear at any airbase in DCS currently, right ? So it would be pretty cool to have the emergency hook working, but not really useful atm.

Yeah, but you just know that as soon as it's working, people will start landing on carriers.

Unless ED Models Stress, and trying to land on a carrier will yank the thing right off as the gear collapses.

I hope they do. And yet I don't think that'll stop people from at least trying.

The F-5 has a hook too, not the easiest thing to land on a carrier thanks to the hook being a bit weird, but doable without busting the gear. I'd think the 16's will be just as full of magic...

I want to deploy the hook in the f16 for carrier ops, i have add the arguments on the lua file, mapping the keys and definitions script in cockpit files but doesnt seems to work, any idea on how should I edit the lua files in order to get this work?

 

I now that this is not realistic, but dcs its a game so please only answer the post if yu now how to get this works, otherwise keep reading other post.
