monotwix Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 What would that do, gun shiping or just surrender?:surrender: I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.

crazyeddie Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Tooooo darn difficult for this sim, you will never get those guns and artillery fire pointing in the right direction, or even looking accurate, would be nice but would need a new model I think. !
golfsierra2 Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 I was thinking about modifying the available C-130 AI aircraft. With a tweak for the MEinit.xml, the weapon positions and direction should be possible to define, a tweaked lom-file would give the shape and display of the guns. See
The thing I cannot figure out then left is to make the AI fly circles while firing on a single spot.... kind regards, Raven.... FWT Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 maybe you can use mission editor perhaps and check?
golfsierra2 Posted November 13, 2007 Author Posted November 13, 2007 Well, for a weapon release, the AI always select an own flight profile. In the editor, you just mark the target, the AI then will do the rest. For this sort of anchoring above one position (target) and firing at it, I think it is not enough to create a circle routing with several routing points. The weapon system characteristics automatically should result in a unique flight profile, which is the typical circle path above the target. borchi_2b Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 hi raven, i believe it will not be possible to bring the gunship to life. to built a model is not that difficult cause it is a easy planeshape, but the flightcharacteristics of the attackflight will probably not change cause the programmer have created certain ways of attackflights. i guess they never thought about a circularflightpath as an attackrun but you could try to arm the c-130 and test if it will do anything at all before we could think about modelling something. well lets talk about it when we are both back in ts on the next flightshifts we are on duty :-) http://www.polychop-sims.com
FWT Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 FWT: Concerning your sig - "if it hurts, you better stop..." I dont understand what youre trying to imply? My sig simply shows that i am going to fly the super hornet as a display when its released to FC. I guess its cos it doesnt say virtual am i right?
