eScourge Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 I haven't played in a few weeks so this must have changed in a recent update. please see video link at end of post. Before I was able to store 8 targets with the litening pod for GPS Guided bombs for a simultaneous pickle. Now when I TDC depress to designate a new target it overwrites all previously stored TOO GPS coordinates for the all weapon stations i.e. all bombs will hit the last designated target. has the sequence changed or am I missing a step or is this an unintended change? Cheers
Gianky Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Hey eScourge! It's been changed some patch ago. Apparently, the system described in the video you linked is not how it works in RL. So, no more assigning PP targets through TOO designation. I suggest you watch RedKite's last video on how attacking multiple targets works on the Hornet right now, here's the link: Unfortunately, it's way more complicated and time consuming that it was before....
Robin_Hood Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 The TOO works really great for dropping multiple bombs on two different targets at once. No, you can't use TOO to attack 8 different targets in a single pass, but frankly that is stepping way out of intended employment of TOO. 2nd French Fighter Squadron
eScourge Posted December 7, 2019 Author Posted December 7, 2019 Thanks for the replies. ill work on learning the correct method.

I'm extremely skeptical that in real life they make pilots manually copy gps coordinates down and then punch them in by hand. I'd like to see any documentation that supports the current operation. It's more likely that they removed the feature because it was overpowered in game play.

They'd probably use pre-planned coordinates from datacartridge or datalink.
Harker Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 You're right to be skeptical. They'd probably use pre-planned coordinates from datacartridge or datalink. Of course they normally used pre-planned coordinates loaded from the data catrirdge, but seeing as we don't have the data cartridge implemented yet, we have to use the backup method, which is manual PP entry.
