When one writes a topic and presses the RETURN key, the forum adds a second one to it giving en extra empty line in the post.

If you then go into edit mode, that extra RETURN is there and only then you can delete it. It would be nice not to add that extra RETURN in the first place.

I have this issue again since today. I've had it back in 2019 with the old forum untill it got fixed, but now the issue returned with the new forum

I'm using Firefox 93.0.

Edit: Same issue with Microsoft Edge.

Yup it roared it's ugly head again (you can bypass it by using Shift-Return) but i don't understand why somebody needs an extra empty line automatically after each return. You can simply press return twice if you need one...

@BIGNEWY @NineLine Has this issue been acknowledged? It's incredibly annoying when posting here.

Edit:

This is intended behaviour, you can hold shift and return however.

Oh, well that's a bummer, as I would rather have a single line break than a double one upon pressing return. If I want double line breaks I would just double tap return.

Thanks for the answer though, but I highly recommend to reconsider this decision, as it is pretty frustrating to work with IMHO.
