Hi

I have a low end pc and DCS hangs Everytime even with lowest settings and a "game booster" I look on the resources magnament bar and it looks like that my PC can't handle th game....just realized that windows 10 procces uses 50% of my ram and doesn't left to much for my DCS game.

I guess that windows 7 doesn't use that many procces and can get more performance by playing DCS with this os, please correct me if I'm wrong, I m about to desinstall w10 and try to migrate dcs to it.

My specs are

Intel 5 quad core 3.0 GHz

8 gb ram

Nvidia gt 710 with 2 gb of video

I don't think it would be a good idea to go back from Win 10 to Win 7, especially since Microsoft is ceasing support for Win 7 on January 14, 2020. What your PC needs in my opinion is a video card with more vram.

Well, right now don't have much money to buy a new one so that is not an option.

Support is not important for me in the moment.

Actually, the performance difference between Win10 and Win7 is slim ... Rather than going back to 7, you may be able to gain some performance back by disabling the Win10 built-in spywares, with this utility:

Also, try the de-bloat script that this guy uses to disable things like Cortana:

two things to take into consideration.

first, Windows 10 is much more efficient in RAM caching.

it will use RAM to preload stuff or hold things it loads preiodicly and keeps them in RAM for the next time. it will release it if an application needs the space. you can see exactly how much of the memory is used for cache in "task manager" under memory section in "preformance" tab.

your CPU and memory are enough for windows of any flavor.

on the other hand.....

GT710 is a very very weak card. here is a comparison to a modern 150ish USD video card.

I'm not going to push you into purchases, your money your decision.

but it's just here to show you how much better performance you can get for your money.

I'm pretty sure you can grab "old" GTX1050 or 1050Ti from the "outlet" shelves or find a used card somewhere for probably half that price.

you can probably get even stronger cards for under 200USD in Xmas sales and stuff like that.

Honestly, I am absolutely certain that moving from Windows 10 to Windows 7 will only make your issue worse. What's more, you may think that it is fine to use a OS that doesn't get security updates (or at least won't be getting them after next month) but you will probably change your tune when you realize just how important those updates are even if you don't immediately notice them.

looking at your system, the harsh reality is that you simply don't have the horsepower required to run DCS effectively. There is no magic solution for this that doesn't involve buying a new video card and more RAM. I know that you said money is a issue but there really is no way to solve your issue otherwise. DCS needs a better video card and more RAM than you have currently.

I can't say this enough. Do not go back to Windows 7 in hopes of getting better DCS performance. It won't work. You need more RAM and you need a better video card. That is the only thing that will improve your DCS situation.
