Uriah_ Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 I just bought an NVMe M.2 drive and have it installed. I have DCS on a platter drive and want to move the game to the M2 drive. I want to keep my settings and such but should I go to the other of re-installing DCS on the M2 drive or can I just copy the whole Eagle Dynamics folder to the M2 drive?
Rudel_chw Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 You can just copy the folder and then manually update the windows shortcuts. You could also relocate the saved games folder (right clic on it, properties, location, move) to the faster drive, as dcs uses that folder a lot. BitMaster Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 (edited) as Rudel says. I may add that SkateZilla's DCS Updater Tool is an excellent tool to manage DCS as a whole. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053 Edited December 16, 2019 by BitMaster Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Sapphire Nitro+ 7800XT - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus XG27ACG QHD 180Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X

Uriah_ Posted December 17, 2019 Author Posted December 17, 2019 I downloaded it but I see nothing about moving the whole Eagle Dynamacis folder or whatever to another folder location.
chrisgrind Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Pretty sure you can just copy it, then run repair from command prompt. See cleanup and repair https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/709/ Then update your shortcuts. Ryzen 5 3600 | 5700 XT | 32gb | NVME
HotRod87 Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 Or you could just re-install it.
