fitness88 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 If checked, does it allow for comms at any range as opposed to unchecked you have limited range? Thank you.
Harker Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 No, it's related to the GPS system. If unchecked, western fighters, such as the F-18 and F-16 will not have access to GPS for INS alignment, when they are placed in a Red coalition country (as GPS is a Western system). If checked, it'll allow them to use GPS normally, no matter which side they're on. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord. Harlikwin Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 It has nothing to do with comms range. It lets "red" forces use GPS. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. VpR81 Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 I think this restricts GPS (SATelite NAVigation) to aircrafts beeing able to use GPS navigation in real live. Not sure, but that´s what it sounds to me. fitness88 Posted January 13, 2020 Author Posted January 13, 2020 Can a moderator please merge these 3 posts. Thanks...don't know how this post triplicated itself.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted January 13, 2020 ED Team Posted January 13, 2020 merged and tidied up. The unrestricted sat nav is used primarily when aggressors get used on the redfor side as enemy. It allows the use of GPS, usually it is restricted on the redfor side as it is a US asset. Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
