Hi guys -

I have windows 10. Latest nvidia drivers installed for my 1080. Nvidia control panel disappeared off my system.

Deleted and reinstalled drivers. Same issue. No CP. not in right click contextual menu either.

After some research found out you have to get nvidia CP as a separate app from Microsoft store.

Did that.

Now it loads up and says ‘app not compatible with driver’

Any thoughts as I’m desperate to get control of the sharpening and digital colour values in the CP to pump up DCS.

I dont know what happened and what you should do to restore it.

But I never use the Nvidia Control Panel, instead I use Nvidea Profile Inspector that you can Google and download. You can tweak more settings with that and perhaps you can use that to regain control of your situation.

Over on the lower right by the clock, click the little up arrow and you should have an icon for GeForce Experience and if you do, you can right click on that and open the control panel. If you don't see that, install Nvidia GeForce Experience from their website. Good luck!

Also, check out a few YouTube videos where you can see how to disable Win 10 Spyware and Extraneous programs.

When I downloaded and installed the latest drivers, I had Nvidia Control Panel but yes it shows up now as a separate application. Not sure why you would not have had the same.

Still have it in my right click on desktop context menu also.

"Standard" packages are those that do not require the DCH driver components.

"DCH" (Declarative, Componentized, Hardware Support Apps) refers to new packages preinstalled by OEMS implementing the Microsoft Universal Driver paradigm.

DCH drivers cannot be installed over a standard system, and Standard drivers cannot be installed over a DCH system.

To confirm the type of system you have, locate Driver Type under the System Information menu in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

if you goto DL Older/Beta drivers you got the above message next too driver type. the new Win 10 1909 has the Control panel already installed you just need the drivers for it..

so are you on 1909 Win 10?? IF so the CP should be there.. If you tried to install and it says you need DCH Drivers goto nVidia and get the correct drivers..
