Good Day,

Our group is flying A/A missions for BVR training and our Datalink is only active for some flights. Further to this we found it is based number aircraft in a flight; if we have an flight and element in same group the Datalink doesn't work, if we have the flight and element in separate groups and then fly together it works?

Appreciate any assistance or explaination.......

Yes, XMT L16 to get lock lines. The datalink is just intermittent. Seems to go in and out and we can't figure out why. It might work when we are all on the ground, then go out when we get airborne. It does seem to help if we limit our flights to 2 ship elements. If you look in the datalink page 3 (i believe) of the DED where it shows each jet's number, if you have a 3 or 4 ship the numbers will be out of sequence, and we tend to have people lose datalink there.

This isn't just AWACS contacts provided by datalink, but also the position of our wingmen within our flight.

not sure, if it relates to this. i'm not getting green blips of the tanker and its escort on the HSD. other friendlies do show though. i set up the tanker exactly as in the default instant action missions, where it is displayed on the HSD (including all advanced waypoint items).

any thoughts?

Yes, DL is intermittent in MP confirmed over Weekly MP sessions since release. The XMT L16 works, but the DL is hit and miss. One flight might have it while another does not. Both flights might have one or 2 guys who have it while the other members in the different flights do not.

Cheers,
