Darcwaynard Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 This wasn't an issue a few updates ago. Apologies if it's been reported and sorted already but I've noticed that I am unable to shut the engines down after taxiing to parking. Throttles are at ground idle and I'm running latest OB. Key binds are all fine. Thanks. Darcwaynard Posted January 28, 2020 Author Posted January 28, 2020 I should also mention I'm parking on the Stennis. I just realised that I wasn't getting the ground crew to put wheel chalks down. Would that prevent me from shutting down? toutenglisse Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 (edited) If you use saturation for throttle axis, try to set it back to 100%. I noticed that previous update(s) did change this axis value. EDIT : No it can't be related to your issue, engines cut off even with some throttle applied. You'll have to sit through a rough Case 1 to get to the shutdown issue. I ran through my usual shutodwn checklist and used the PG map to best simulate where I first noticed the issue. I spammed both my HOTAS keybinds as well as the default keyboard shortcuts and as you can see no effect. My first observation is your joystick throttle needs calibrating When I take control after you have taxied and your throttle is at idle it is not really at idle, I have marked your position here in orange, mine is the red Try calibrating the throttle in windows or use a tool like DIView to tweak it, it should help. If this is the issue my apologies for not checking the obvious throttle calibration more closely. I'll check it out tonight and see if that solves it. Darcwaynard Posted January 30, 2020 Author Posted January 30, 2020 No problem, never hurts to have someone look at it. Let me know how you get on. Yeah so totally user error on this one. I had throttle saturation set to 90 which wasn't allowing me to throttle back to idle. Thanks for helping me pinpoint the issue.
