JTAC with JF17

Hi,

 

I didn't manage to use JTAC with the JF17.

I can communicate with them, get a 9line, but when I ask "Ready for futher remark", I get no answer ever, and cannot ask them to laze the target or anything.

I can use the JTAC and get the laser for LSS, check the mission settings for JTAC.

But there is other issues for buddy laser at the moment, even U get the laser and LSS, the LGB will still miss. The team will try to fix it ASAP.

Here's a simple JTAC test mission.

 

The JF-17 is loaded with GBU-12*4, GBU-16*2, WMD-7, Cannon with 180 rounds

 

As the targets are 5 trucks, the JTAC first marks them with WP/smoke and calls for the cannon.

 

Once the cannon is empty, the JTAC calls for GBU-12's and lases for them.

 

If needed the JTAC will later call for the GBU-16's

 

If you have issues with "shift" or "reattack", you can "Check out" from the JTAC and then call back for new tasking, that always seemed to work.

 

A couple of GBU-12's missed when I tested but there's a 6 knot sea breeze, so that may have effected the bombs.

 

The JTAC lases for 5 min max. so don't call for it until ready to run in, LSS, etc. - note I called "spot" before the WMD-7 LSS found the target as it seemed slow to acquire and there's a bit of back and forth messaging before the JTAC "Clears HOT"

 

Tested DCS Open Beta 2.5.5.41962

It seems to be caused when the JTAC script can't recognise a weapon i.e. the AV-8B Gun Pod
