Hello all, after replacing the pcb in my dead Warthog throttle and trying it out tonight on setting up the axis commands both the Th pedals and the throttle show the following -

Throttle left JOY_RZ

Throttle right JOY_Z

Pedals JOY_Z

also it looks like the throttles now have the zero thrust half way but full thrust either all the way forward or back.

Help please !

This can happen sometimes just delete the items that don't apply then go to the input(s) you want to use that item(s) and select from the dropdown box in the corresponding column for the wanted source, read the header names on each column to identify the source device for that column.

That should enable you to sort them out, sometimes deleting all of them can be easier and manually setting the inputs.

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.

you might also want to check/update the firmware on that new board. the throttle might need software to define those throttle axis as a slider, and not an axis with 0 in the center.

both the Th pedals and the throttle show the following -

Throttle left JOY_RZ

Throttle right JOY_Z

That's normal.

Pedals JOY_Z

That's normal as well. The Throttle and Pedal are individual controllers. They should show up in the game controller settings as separate column headings. They will have default axis assignments and some of them will be repeats. Try clearing assignments and reassign the appropriate controls.

also it looks like the throttles now have the zero thrust half way but full thrust either all the way forward or back.

Use Axis Tune page and check the "Slider" box for Throttle JOY_Z and JOY_RZ. You may also have to invert the axis.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

New to hardware and the software. I just start configuring the hotas and also saw in the configuration tool that JOY_Z was assigned to multiple controls (Throttle and pedals). Are you saying that it is OK that the pedals and throttle both use JOY_Z  because they are in the column of a different controller?

Different controllers are going to have the same axis's.  Pedals with toe brakes are going to have JOY_X, Y, and Z.  Standard Joysticks are going to have JOY_X and Y, and if there's a throttle slider, it probably be a JOY_SLIDER.

The important thing is to not have more than one controller axis (Pedal, Stick, or Throttle) assigned to a single game axis.

Hmm then I have an issue, my pedals move according to JOY_Z and so does my Throttle

That means you have your Throttle mapped to your rudder in game.  Just clear the throttle mapping and reassign to the throttle in game.

I have no idea how.. but somehow I had a binding For Joy_Z on my joystick for thrust. I removed that 🙂

They show up as 2 separate controllers in DCS right?

If so, both can have JOY_Z. No worries, the work independent from each other.
