Hammer1-1
Just saw this after spending all day updating to 2.5.6. Tried repairing to no avail. Cannot even generate a crash log, will append this once I find something in the event viewer window. This is on a clean install of DCS no mods. Edit: this is found in Event Viewer : Log Name: System Source: Application Popup Date: 2/14/2020 4:55:48 PM Event ID: 26 Task Category: None Level: Information Keywords: User: SYSTEM Computer: DESKTOP-HD39L79 Description: Application popup: DCS.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022). Hammer1-1
Problem resolved: I turned off Kaspersky A/V and it loads up now. I suppose DCS.exe is now seen as a false positive and going to have to white list DCS. abak
Hi, it looks like that DCS Updater is signed with ED's certificated, and Kaspersky treats it as trusted. For some reason, DCS.exe from OpenBeta is not signed by the same certificated, and by default Kaspersky puts it to "low restrictions" group, which impedes startup.
