Strange behavior of WMR from the latest W10 update?

Hi,

I noticed strange behavior of starting Windows Mixed Reality after Windows 10 update (in the last week. I use 1909 but next internal update).

Before was very ok, no any problem, no any issue like this.

Now, when I start WMR looks like this tool loads additional drivers (?) or changes something on driver display?

I see for half a second black screen, I lose too some of folders from desktop (but they are present if I check "My Computer"), also I cant do normal desktop screenshot (what it was before by PrtScreen key), it did black picture only with strange proportions.

I reinstalled yesterday WMR, the same, installed the new NVidia drivers, the same.

Did You notice it too? I did only W10 update last time during this week, something is wrong now for me.

See this:

btw. WMR after this works ok in VR mode, no any issue I suppose, but this start and no normal screenshot during playing of desktop (by Print screen, copy and past for example to Paint) looks very strange for me.

btw.2. Screenshot looks like this when WMR is working:

There have been more complaints about WMR (on various gaming forums) since the last update.

Apparently as soon as you start up WMR, Windows is adding several "virtual" monitors to your system, which are positioned vertically. This causes all kind of troubles for various users.

Here's a fix that works for us Pointctrl users (you could also try it)

I believe it's not clear yet whether these WMR changes are made on purpose, or that MS will fix this in the future

System specs:

i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU

HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM

Holy crap, thank god I didn't upgrade yet.

Any idea if they plan to fix it? Or if its a "new feature" everyone else will have to fix for themselves?

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

It's the WMR software reserving three virtual monitors it can use to integrate win32 applications into the VR environment.

Before this update this would happen when the first application is opened but would result in a short freeze or black screen while in vr, now it is done as you start the WMR software.

It's technically a feature, albeit not the most elegant one.
