Lanzfeld113 Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Hello, Everything seems to be working pretty well and I am enjoying DCS with the HP reverb. There are a couple of strange things however. Every time I turn on my computer, WMR starts automatically and I don’t know how to stop this. It never really bothered me though because I would just minimize it and put on my helmet and then double click on my desktop computer monitor DCS. Keep in mind I would lift up the HP reverb to look at my monitor and double click DCS. I accidentally removed DCS from the desktop and now I just can’t get it back. Every time I go to DCS inside of steam and I put it as a shortcut to the desktop it does not appear on the desktop unless I completely shut down WMR. Keep in mind I would lift up the HP reverb to look at my monitor and double click DCS. Any ideas how to get it back?
The_Nephilim Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Wow that is strange,, Have you went into the steamapps/dcs folder and made the shortcut from the exe in there?? Lanzfeld113 Posted March 7, 2020 Author Posted March 7, 2020 Yes...... The shortcuts do not appear on my desktop until WMR is shutdown
Lanzfeld113 Posted March 7, 2020 Author Posted March 7, 2020 I do love flying in virtual reality but I really wish they would streamline the process. There’s just too many “layers” of nonsense to go through with too many variables.

Baldrick33 Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) A bit of a guess but i wonder if Windows is getting confused and trying to add the shortcut to your Reverb as a monitor. If you haven't already, you could shut down WMR by clicking on the X top right in the WMR Portal and choosing shut down and then try and add the shortcut. Alternatively you could try pinning the shortcut to the taskbar. Lanzfeld113 Posted March 7, 2020 Author Posted March 7, 2020 Hmmmmmm..... I’ll try that thank you. When I have steam...the DCS file that starts the game is the file in the “bin” folder?
SkipCarey Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Not with an Index runs with no fussing and Valve is constantly up dating SteamVR works every time(this is why I wont be buying a reverb) WMR is a mess
speed-of-heat Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 if WMR is starting automatically, try swapping ports with your monitor SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
