you want to kill a flight sim enthusiast?

if no one makes those stuffs anymore, the other enthusiasts have no chance of making their sim cockpits better.

i doubt these hardware producers have actually made money in it. why not support instead of extinguishing ?

right.

but if the spammer is very good in marketing, he probably would not touch this business at all. why not earn money in other business to buy a real plane for himself? playing PC game is more noble that flying his own plane?

so, why not be forgiving toward these people? a perfect/all-aspect person would not play flight game with you.

Hey, mod. There was a weird post here by me that wasn't written by me. I deleted it then realized I shouldn't have so is there a way to recall it?

This is the second time this has happened to me. First was years ago when someone used my id to post some nasty comments regarding Thai women.

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

Freeware F-18C w Carrier ops, A2A and A2G Simulation.

Currently at about 75% point in development cycle. They have a way to go but, imo, the FM, Avionics, Weps, Pit complexity/functionality, and Carrier launch/trap are already high realism/quality.

They are not promising but are posting possibility of release sometime in 2011.

It is a serious C model, Naval variant, Hornet Simulation.

Enjoy a few screenshots here:

I have heard that this 7G project is just one programmer... a guy in South Korea. I wonder if it is in fact the same ejectionseat guy that was referenced at the start of this thread.

If it is just one guy, I don't see how this thing will ever see the light of day. Hope I am wrong, because I am a huge hornet fan and we really do need a good hi-fi naval/carrier ops sim.

I know they have more than one programmer working on it but not many. Their consultant is an active duty Hornet pilot who answers Hornet ops related questions, almost daily, on their forum. Facinating source of Hornet ops knowledge.

They have been at it for ~2 years now so, imo, it may be a while, but I believe, and also strongly hope, they take it to completion, regardless of when that is.

Looks like an fc2 engine like... but very interesting videos apart from the music.

There s also an element here that always make me wonder.

The view of thepilot in this f18 cockpit is more natural to me (i flought 10mn in a mil. sim f18 some month ago on LAAD) than DCS A10 is. I know this is adjustable, but as i never went into an A10 cockpit i dont know if DCS A10 standart view is "too far from hud" or not.

I wonder is any a10 pilot or anyone that has seated there could comment.

It's got nothing to do with the "FC2 engine." Completely ground up. Just so happens that method of drawing water (and probably the method for creating those bump textures) is well documented and apparently popular.

Lot of blur on terrain too, i dont recall getting that fuzzy from those distances.
