I want to be able to do a full cold-start, not just push the JFS.. It feels like someone has already climbed in the cockpit, turned on the fuel feed, all the comm knobs and left the cockpit without me seeing him. And no, I don't have HOTAS synchronization. They do it this way to simulate what the pilot would experience because I think the aircraft would be preflighted by the crew beforehand, or by the previous pilot on shut-down. As the pilot, you still need to verify every switch position before starting up. I would love an option (maybe a random failure setting in the ME) for random switches to be out of the correct position sometimes, so the prestart checks actually mean something and I can't skip them and assume that every switch will be as it should be. Steph21 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Most of switch positions at cold start are on par with shutdown checklist. But you still have to set some switch to the correct position during preflight check like iff, external/internal light, altimeter setting, hud display...and of course all switches synchronized with hotas if relevant.
