A general question about DCS

Well, We can say DCS is the joint between several aircraft modules and a basic framework.

 

Ok, I don't know if you can seam up the Ka-50's windows, but let's imaginate we can't, but in the future, an addon (Apache, for example) is going to come with a very complex steam up physic, so you must to control electrical heating correctly.

 

But Ka-50 doesn't support this kind of stuff, so, Can previous airplane be actualized AFTER they go out for supporting new features??

Sure, if necessary, previously released modules can be updated in patches or future add-ons. In fact, I would assume this will be the case. For example, when discussing air to air missiles or the new advanced missile warning and jamming system prototype fitted to the real Ka-50, ED has allowed for the possibility of modeling these in future updates to the Ka-50 model. Nothing solid, but possible.

 

In general though, the level of sophistication on the Ka-50 will not leave much practical room for further complexity.

When window will steam up you can draw a heart for example on it ;). When cold air is outside and warm inside you get steamy windows. LOL.

^^ yes, allthough that is not the point of what he was asking..

The original question was asking if future engine features will be backwards compatible..he just used the windows steaming (fogging) as an example :)

Yeah, when can we get teh Titanic kind of steaming up in BS? Sorry for the sarcasm, but I'd rather have more different rocket warheads (chaff would be fun, as will flachette) rather than a good steam up effect and the ability to draw dirty things on the windows. While we're on the subject, can't ED model a roll of sticky tape so we can make various sized dicks on the windows all around, so we can play a prank on.... oh wait, you're the only one inside.
