I wouldn't mind an english-only release first...

English is kind of pilot language, isn't it?

No immidiate need for localization...

Finaly a voice of reason:thumbup:. ED mentioned that translating is a BIG piece of work few times. Any conclusions now? In my opinion a "multistage" release would be the most logical.

Even only english/russian release would be reasonable. Sim market is specific. DCS is not EA FIFA.

Razorworks' Apache vs. Havoc (1999!) was the first simulator ever to introduce infantry if I remember correctly. Dynamic campaign was also among it's features :music_whistling:

Digital Integration's Hind had infantry earlier than that. Like these guys:

Hind was made by much the same guys that made EEAH though :)

Was it moving and active (shooting) infantry? :shifty:

Yes indeed. In fact in the Afghanistan campaign they were pretty much the only opposition. And back at the airbase there would be guys walking around. And you could transport the troops in the Hind, and also be medevac, where people would run around with stretchers.

Oh, and if you opened the cabin doors while you carried troops, and started manouvering a bit heavy they would become paratroopers, but without the parachute :P

Paratroopers - or storm-trooper (they fall like rain on the enemy below..)

Cheers.

Then... RESPECT!

I knew that! :)

I read it in the time when I didn't have a PC yet!

There's no doubt that game developers were more innovative back then. And I can't even explain how it happened that more than 10 years old features got abandoned and forgoten by devs

Maybe it's computer branch specific. After all guys came in conclusion that higher diameter fans with slower rpms are better after... what... 15 years :megalol: But to make analogy complete to devs they (hardware guys) would have to switch back to 50mm fans in late 90's :P

Come to think of it they were probably the best infantry implementation I've seen in a flight sim yet (not considering Operation Flashpoint or ArmA as flight sims). Better than the infantry in EEAH/EECH or Longbow. Probably because the Hind is used more for troop support and not anti-tank like the other helicopters.

Some would scatter and run when under attack (which made them hard to hit with the gun), while others would shoot back.

Definitely a original and classic sim! Had a lot of fun with it in its day :)
