Been running the v2 reverb with the Viper - tried it initially with no tweaks - and it was running good with a FPS of 75-90 - have now tried it with reprojection on (know its running as the fps locks to 45) - but strangely while the game is running overall smooth

1) if I move my head quickly while say in a menu and very occasionally in game (usually looking up and to the right) will sometimes get some judders - strangely this was not present while I had reprojection off? (the fps jumped around but no real judder) - any ideas how to solve?

2)Getting some really bad flickering on the load screens and also if I try and change the control settings ingame……..

Not sure about your 1st question

As far as I know the bad flickering on the loading screen is normal.. well, normal... I have it too at least with my Reverb

(During the loading screen, my fps drops to about 1 or 2 fps. Fortunately ingame it's ok :))

The reprojection let the game produce 45 fps ( thereby seeing 45fps in DCS fps counter) and in between each frame, reprojection extrapolates one frame using the picture movement speed as the input data. This is a calculation based om the assumption of ”what is going to happen” so it is not perfect and it has a harder job predicting if head movememt is quick and/or has a angular acceleration.

I think WMR /Reverb reprojection is good. I also have Oculus Rift since they came out and I experience a lot cleaner picture with reverb + reprojection then Oculus in ASW.

If you deselect reprojection there will only be real DCS calculated pictures: i.e no predicted ”im between pictures” so you will not have that problem.

I use auto which give me reprojection of when I have 90fps, and rejorojection if between 90 amd 45. For me, thats the best setting.

No sure about this (since I didnt do extensive testing) but I have a feeling about this.

In some (heavy missions) I have a lot of red spikes in fpsVR (frametime>22ms) in the CPU-frametines, sometines even blanks (no rendered frames) for a moment. In such missions I have also judders, some even very bad.

In other missions like Hornet-Caucasus-Freeflight-mission I habe CPU-frametimes constantly around 10ms and no judders.

I think (at least my) judders are CPU-related. Overclocking did not help.

Right now Im using Steam-motionreprojection.

Maybe Motionreprojection takes up quite a bit of CPU-perf and therefore causes the judders.

But as I said. This is just a feeling and I need to do more tests.

running the WMR option file reprojection (where you remove the \\) - but think will try it set to auto or off - see if it helps with the judders....

also I thought the steam reprojection option - even when set to on does nothing with a WMR headset? - assume you are changing the option in the steam vr menu?

yes running with the latest version (forces to download before I run it) - why? is VR performance bad in it?

Yes it is, there are several threads on this...
