I searched the whole forum and in Chuck's Guide but there is no mention of what SMTT is that appears in the sea radar screen.

any ideas what it is and how to use it?

Sea Moving Target Track

It means you've locked onto a ship in SEA1 or SEA2 mode.

Does S2 simply unlock the sea target, per usual?

What does RBM mean?

RBM stands for "Real Beam Map", you can unlock with S2-PUSH

i noticed when i press unlock, the radar always switches back to SEA1 even if I'm on SEA2. kind of catches you offguard. is that supposed to happen?

I dont really know, as I rarely unlock targets :) .. but after today's update, I'm having trouble locking ships on either SEA mode .. the lock last just a few seconds, as can be seen on this quick video:

Will do some more testing to be sure, and then open a thread on the Bug section to report it.
