F18, AA refueling. No collision with the basket after im ready to refuel.

Sometimes i run into a bug where im trying to refuel, i call the tanker all is good, basket drops. then as im about as i connect with it there is no collision. Are there any work arounds?

Remember to call 'ready pre-contact' otherwise the basket wont work.

If you are using the MPRS it is bugged atm. So no contact will ever happen. Use Hercules or S3.

MPRS worked fine the other day.

No idea why. Our squadron removed it from all missions due to this ghost basket.

Sometimes the tanker will "assign" a specific basket to a specific aircraft. I've had this issue in a campaign, where I contacted the tanker and then ordered my wingman to refuel too. I was trying to connect for 10 minutes and nearly gave up and then I realized that my wingman was flying behind me and that this was "his" basket. I went to the other one and caught it immediately.

Just used MPRS today on a multi-player server and it worked fine. Connected first try and all subsequent aborts and rejoins worked as well.

This may be version/config/mod specific.

 

I just test MPRS in single player (open beta, no mods) and comms are working correctly.

I was ghosted by the basket the other day, however I just thought it was a network lag deal. Reattempted and all was well.
