Intel I7 8700 non K.

MSI MPG z390 Gaming Plus

MSI GTX 1080ti Gaming X

Regarding memorys I´m aiming for 32gb 3600mhz

Brand, wich one(these are the most common in my Country and the price range in U$196,00 to U$267,00 :

GSkill, Corsair, Adata XPG or Team Group wich one?

2 x 16gb or 4x8gb?

3200mhz CAS14 or 3600 CAS16 or CAS18?

These are my Doubts!

Thanks in Advance for Your kind attention!

There will normally be no difference between 3200 MHz CAS 14 and 3600 MHz CAS16.

Theoretically, 3600MHz CAS would be minimally faster if larger data had to be moved.

At the level, I think it's a matter of luck which kit you buy can be clocked better.

Or what the subtimings are like.

I personally would take the 3600MHz Ram and try to tweak it a bit.

My kit goes up to 3682MHz (dual ranked) CAS 16, although the manufacturer "only" guarantees 3200MHz CAS 15.

I think the bigger question would be:

Why on earth would you put a non-K chip in that motherboard?

That thing just begs for some overclocking. Put an 8700k or even 9700k in that puppy along with an AIO cooler and enjoy!

I am running 32 GB (2x16) of G-Skill Trident Z RGB 3200 MHz CL14 ram and it appears to be doing well for me.

Does the 8700 non-k allow above 2666mhz RAM at all ??

Make sure it does before you buy.

It might well not support faster Ram at all I am afraid

Hi Bitmaster!

Thanks for Your Advice!

Will look at this right now.

MSI Z390 Gaming Plus Intel I7 8700 @4.4Ghz CoolerMaster H411R Corsair LPX 3000Mhz 32GB NVidea GTX 1080 TI XFX650W PNY SSD 256gb win10 64 Samsung SSD480gb DCS,IL21946 WD Caviar Green 1Tb Ultimate Tir5.

Yeah z390 does allow ocing memory even with a locked cpu. 2x16gb or 4x8gb? There is a teeny tiny performance increase by going with 4 sticks because of rank interleaving. But this is not worth it if 4x8gb costs more than 2x16gb. So go with the cheaper option. 3200mhz cl14 or 3600mhz cl16? Well u have an intel cpu, u will see almost no scaling with memory speed. So just go for the cheaper option once again.

Yes Bitmaster .

From Ark 8700 only 2666mhz.

Branchprediction Thank´s for your advice!
