Until a few days ago, I thought the AI would not land until you took off. Then someone pointed me to a screenshot proving my belief wrong. It took a day or two to figure out how. The 'trick' has limited application but you can make it happen. Here's a video and sample mission: Taking Off as the AI Lands (18.7 MB).

Just thought I'd pass it on in case some mission builders are interested. Too bad it can't just happen normally because that kind of activity greatly enhances the FC experience.

Rich,

I am very interested to know how you would program this in the ME?

In DCS I fly jets with thousands of pounds of thrust...

In real life I fly a humble Cessna Hawx XP II with 210 HP :D

A sample mission is included in the download in my opening post. Give it a look. If you have Qs, feel free to ask. In SP missions, you will find that you cannot do this and have a wingman, too. So it's of limited usefulness.

Further to Ironhand's post, I've found that if a dedicated server is hosting the mission instead of a player, you can get the AI to take off and land regardless of player movement on the ground.
