Hi,

I have been unable to turn on the lights at night on the Stennis Carrier.

Using Freq 127.5 and stating "Inbound" does not turn on the lights.

I thought this used to work?

Stennis Carrier Lights Do Not Work at Night

What an extraordinary coincidence that at night they would probably be at their most useful.

But really, yes, that used to work at least, although the tricky part is that the ship can quite drastically disagree with you on what conditions are this 'nighttime' you speak of. Never figured out what the real criterion was.

Neither have I. Why not just leave the lights on, all the time. Or let the user have the option to set it up in ME or in game instead of this silly 'aerodrome' comm. scheme.

Would it 'break' the code? yea, probably ;)

Kang,

I set the time to 23:59, and red runway lights did not come on. The green lights outlining the entire carrier deck are lighted, but no runway lights.

They should work at this late hour.

It was a bug introduced with the latest update or the one before that, I think. It doesn't have to do with the time of day, just the fact that Stennis won't illuminate the landing area if a player contacts the tower, no matter the time of day. It existed before, the solution at the time was to have an AI unit enter the landing circuit first.
