I have a X-55 and I have 4 years now..

I've had mine for a couple of years now. It's holding up quite well.

It's mot MIL-SPEC quality, but I did open it up and inspect the wiring harnesses and the button/switch mounting and it was an improvement over the X-55.

Having it since 6 month. Meanwhile, I replaced the spring by rubber bands. The reason was, that the axe has large space before the spring grips.

Beside of this, it works fine.

I'd like to see a picture of your mod. It makes sense.
