Rudel_chw Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 (edited) Hello, I'm having a small issue with using the Gun on Air to Ground missions, I'm following this procedure: - Master Arm to ARM - Mode to A-G (on HOTAS) - Select GUN on SMS - Click on FEED (on SMS) The Gun works, but I get a crossed-out RDY indicator, both on the HUD: ... and on the SMS: (sorry the tall image, was trying to show the Master Arm position) Does anyone know why the RDY is crossed out? Thanks, Eduardo Edited May 12, 2020 by uboats For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
paco2002 Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 I don't know why is crossed out, but it works at least for me
Rudel_chw Posted May 12, 2020 Author Posted May 12, 2020 I don't know why is crossed out, but it works at least for me Yes, the gun works .. but this is the type of thing that worries my OCD-self  I'm also now experimenting to see how much a barometric pressure mismatch affects the accuracy of the Gun, and it puzzles me a bit that this detail of CCIP isnt mentioned neither on DEKA's Manual nor on Chuck's Guide :( For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
shaHeen-1 Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 Isn't that because you are in AG mode but pointing it in the sky. Is it related to range from target?
Rudel_chw Posted May 12, 2020 Author Posted May 12, 2020 Isn't that because you are in AG mode but pointing it in the sky. Is it related to range from target? No and no .. here I'm near the ground and pointing at it, yet the RDY indicator is crossed out: This target is near sea level, now I will try a ground target set higher up, as I want to see if we need to do any correction to compensate for the altitude. AeriaGloria Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 (edited) Look at the logs, it used to be barometric only, then it was changed to rely on radar altitude if available, since then it’s always perfect for me EDIT: also uses SPI if available https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4143811&postcount=3 Edited May 13, 2020 by AeriaGloria Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
