Automatic ATC communication or quick key commands?

I also asked this on YT, but as chances on a reaction on YT are close to zero, I'll try here. Maybe this has already been shared by ED and I missed it somewhere.

 

In

, you see that on some occasions there is radio communication without the use of the radio menu.

 

For instance:

• on 3 miles out, at 9:05, Wags gives the "overhead" call, but I don't see him using the radio menu.
  
• Also when he "calls the ball" at 12:39, I don't see the radio menu.
  

 

Are these communications done automatically? Or is Wags using quick key commands for these specific communications? Has anything official been shared about this?

 

 

Either way, I'm very happy to see that we don't have to use the radio menu during final approach :thumbup:

In the Supercarrier Guide https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4274281&postcount=3 pages 36-43 you can understand which are automatic communications and which through key commands.
