Shahriar0 Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Hi, When flap is lowered, the flap position indicator continues to show flap up when looked at from the rear cockpit looking forward. Similarly when plane is turning, the turn/slip indicator does not show any movement. These are the only two instruments that I have noticed not working correctly when looked at from RIO's point of view. Hope they could be fixed rather quickly. Thanks.
Shahriar0 Posted May 18, 2020 Author Posted May 18, 2020 Let me be more specific; This only happens with two human pilots occupying the cockpits. If a single pilot lowers flaps and then moves to the rear cockpit then the indicators do work as expected. It's beyond me what the difference is, but my front seat and I did observe it. We reversed seats and result was the same. From rear cockpit looking (zooming) forward, these two indicators did not work.
Kaiju Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 And also when I'm in the back (RIO) and looking at the pilot's mirrors I see myself instead of seeing the pilot  IN WIN D-Frame Red - EKWB - Asus ROG PG348Q - Asus Maximus XI Formula - i9 9900K 5.1Ghz - Asus Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080Ti Strix OC 11Go - DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX 64Go 3000Mhz - Windows 10 64 - x2 SSD PCIe M.2 NvMe Samsung 970 Pro (1To RAID 0) - Virpil V.F.X Grip and MongoosT 50CM2 Throttle - Thrustmaster TPR - HP Reverb
Shahriar0 Posted May 20, 2020 Author Posted May 20, 2020 In case HeatBlur is assessing the priority to make the fix, let me say that while this is not the most crucial two indicators in the cockpit but they are certainly useful to the backseat as an instructor! I am currently using the F-14 platform to teach a friend of mine some of the basic aspects of flying - including landing. I can take the back seat and zoom into the front cockpit instruments and monitor VSI, AoA Index, Turn/Slip Indicator, etc. and talk real time to him. This is something I can't do in any other DCS plane and is extremely useful (and realistic.) So having all instruments and indicators show correctly from the back seat is fairly important. Appreciate if Heatblur would chime in and let us know when we can expect a fix.
IronMike Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 Tracked. Unfortunately this will be somewhat lower on the priority list, but we'll see if we can squeeze it in somewhere. MC issues can be really trivial or a really really big deal sometimes, I cannot say in this particular issue. Shahriar0 Posted May 22, 2020 Author Posted May 22, 2020 Understood. Appreciate the comment and attention by HB. I am crossing my fingers for this to be a trivial one :)

Shahriar0 Posted July 16, 2020 Author Posted July 16, 2020 I am pleased to report that in 2.5.6.52196 release, not only the flap position and turn/slip indicator do work when viewed from the RIO cockpit, but also the helmet of the pilot is displayed in the mirror (instead of RIO.) This is truly fantastic. Since there were no references in the patch note, I had little hope for a fix, but HB did come through. Really appreciate it.
P0G0 Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 The bug about mirror it's not with RIO mirror but with Pilot mirror. Cobra847 Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 We can only render one mirror. Otherwise performance would suffer immensely. The front mirrors are treated as RIO mirrors thus in the rear cockpit. Nicholas Dackard Founder & Lead Artist Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
Shahriar0 Posted July 19, 2020 Author Posted July 19, 2020 My apologies! I completely misspoke on this; flap position and turn indicator do work when viewed from rear cockpit only in single-player. In multi-player is still broken, as it was originally reported. To me it shows that the general coding is there but in multi-player these two do not get synched.
RustBelt Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Probably for the best given how delicate the Sync code is in general for MP.

It's possible that this is a general Multicrew issue we cannot influence. We'll keep it on the list for now and we will take a look (at a later point), if it cannot be fixed.
