Consistent set of common bindings

Can I please suggest that ED creates/expands a base set of universal controls that all aircraft will have, give them the same name and insist that the 3rd party developers also include them.

 

We appear to already have them within maps for say the view commands by aircraft.

I'd love to see added to that:

- Landing gear up / Landing gear down. I've no idea how the the P51 doesn't have separate commands as yet

- Volume controls for radios to be both digital AND analogue axes

- Interior lighting on both digital and analogue axes

- Consistent naming standards for basic actions, such as gear up, gear down. I'm sure there's several variants for that

 

I'm sure that others can contribute, and I appreciate the above are "niggles", but they'd help the quality of life.

This must be the zillionth time it's asked for (also by me BTW) but ED's ears are shut. So fingers crossed but don't get your hopes up to high...

I always wonder how many people are out there who set things like gear up/down on a different button on their controller for each different plane? They must have elephant brains to remember each button position for each aircarft...LOL.

Afaik Landing Gear is universally “G”
