TAW_Impalor Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 In some situations contacts go dull on the radar, becoming hard to see. I zoomed in a cropped screenshot. The locked HAFU under the star, and accompanying numbers, is barely visible. Does it mean to be like that or is a bug? This is from quick BVR 8v8 mission. I saved multiple tracks (in VR), but all of them play back only first few seconds. MacEwan Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 If I understand the radar correctly, targets will dim slightly as the radar signal return decays. For example, if a subsequent sweep from the radar does not detect the target the brightness will decay until the target is no longer visible or the next radar sweep detects it again.

Tholozor Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 Scan volume centering only functions if you box AUTO while in TWS. LTWS in RWS, or MAN in TWS requires manual control.
