There are adjustable cockpit floodlights in more modern planes - not sure that having a brightly lit cockpit would be good for night vision

Every aircraft has cockpit gauge lighting and most have flood lighting except (I think) the FC3 aircraft.

Even they should have floodlights and instrument panel lights (unfortunately no control over what and brightness etc).

Only aircraft I can think of is the I-16 and the Yak-52.

OP is it one aircraft in particular or is it a general issue? Most aircraft don't have a simple keybind for cockpit lighting and it requires you bind individual switches/knobs, or find them in the cockpit.

Sorry I mean looking from outside the aircraft on a night not inside. They used to have it in the old flanker series but they don't now.

Only a few planes have that feature, most don't.

A-10C had it once, don't know if it still has.
