Pitch Trim Indicator

Just started practicing some takeoffs in the F-5 under Instant Action.

 

There is a Pitch Trim Indicator gage under the left side of the hood of the instrument panel. I cannot find any way to manipulate my View controls to completely see that gage so that I can set my pitch trim prior to takeoff. So, what is the secret to being able to see this gage?

Using track ir I am able to see it sorry I know that doesn't help you

Before I got TrackIR I was able change my view to see the gauge using the position change keys. I forget the key combination, something like Ralt+Rctrl + Numpad arrow keys. Or was it Rctrl+RShift+arrow...

 

If you go to the adjust controls menu and search for the word 'view' you should be able to figure it out.

if you enable mouse view (moving the mouse moves the camera), press and hold your mouse wheel down, and drag the mouse to the left and down.

Press the 5 key on your numpad to recenter the view.

You can pull up the controls overlay with RCTRL+ ENTER and reference instead.

I can see most of the guage by using the cockpit camera.

 

Right Ctrl + Right Shift + Numpad 8/4/6/2 moves the cockpit camera.

You could save the perspective as snap view.

If you really don't want to shift the camera, you can check the trim gauge in the control indicator (RCTRL+ENTER).

 

If you need to have the scale in the control indicators,

1 - Do a backup of ".\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft\F-5E\Cockpit\Scripts\ControlsIndicator\ControlsIndicator_page.lua" (a simple copy-paste is enough).

2 - Open it with Notepad++ and replace all the content with https://pastebin.com/raw/YKYcEa7Z

3 - Save and profit.
