  1. Final mission score 100 I truly enjoyed the campaign, even if it took me slightly more than two years to finish I'd left it for some time because of the bugs that were due to the DCS core updates. Thanks for continuously addressing and fixing the bugs! It's very well scripted and great mission variety. It brings out the features of the M-2000C well. The voice overs, acting and immersion are top grade. I felt the A2A missions sometimes difficult, especially against radar-missile equipped fighters, but I could always manage in some way or by support of the other flights. I'm looking forward to hopping into the Coup d'Etat mini campaign next and back to the Hornet with Raven One after that Thank you for many, many hours of pure entertainment, Baltic Dragon!
  2. +1 I'd encountered the same yesterday, with Mk 82 LD.
  3. Thanks for insisting, you convinced me! I've tried MSAAx4 in DCS only with both native and DLDSR in single thread and multi thread, omitting the other NVCP AA methods. It's in fact better without temporal AA and much less shimmering than I remember from previous versions. I've settled with MSAAx4 and DLDSR in multi threading now. So I've actually found my personal solution in this thread by replacing in-game SSAA by DLDSR
  4. Well, I tried a lot of configurations and this ended up to be my favourite regarding performance and appearance. Yup, MFAA and TRAA are enabled in NVCP via "enhance application settings". But I will give it another shot with only MSAAx4 in DCS at both native 1080p resolution and at DLDSRx2.25. DLDSR gave a big performance boost when I used it instead of SSAA in DCS and it works very well in versions 2.7 and 2.8.
  5. Yes, see this post by bkthunder: "Another point to note is that if I use re-shade, the MXAO (ambient occlusion filter) doesn't work in MT, while it works in non-MT." https://forum.dcs.world/topic/320897-same-graphics-settings-with-different-results-between-mtnon-mt/?do=findComment&comment=5174085
  6. It also seems that postprocessing shaders and AA filters aren't working. See my post here and a report on Reshade not working earlier in the same thread. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/320897-same-graphics-settings-with-different-results-between-mtnon-mt/?do=findComment&comment=5176462
  7. I have MSAAx4 and anisotropic filtering x16 enabled ingame and the following via the Nvidia control panel: DLDSR, TRAA multisample, MFAA. DLDSR does work but TRAA and MFAA don't seem to work with the multithreading exe. I tried to add bin_mt\dcs.exe in the NVCP, without visible success. I expect that the MT dcs.exe is also recognized as dcs.exe by NVCP - so that the program specific settings should be applied regardless which dcs.exe version is running. Might be the same problem as with Reshade mentioned by bkthunder, postshaders not working.
  8. The website has been online again this morning. Thank you very much, Inverted Team, for the excellent campaign, I'm enjoying it very much - especially as it's a welcome diversion from the usual campaign patterns. I hope that we can see a sequel this year!
  9. I've added the track file to my previous post. Not sure if it helps given the replay issues of DCS. I'll check out your updated Serpent's Head campaign for sure, it's great that you're still improving it! And then on to the Rise of the Persian Lion
  10. I just finished the campaign on the latest open beta 2.8.2.35759. Everything played out well for me. The SAMs after whacking Snake gave me quite a scare but no hits. Then came another "cleared hot on Snake" message that I ignored and a second later I was directed to return to the Stennis. I turned over Kutaisi to face just one MiG that had gotten through and I could dispatch with a Sidewinder. Thank you very much for the campaign, I enjoyed it and its predecessor a lot. Very good assortment of missions and highly immersive. I'm looking forward to play the one or other mission again and will set my eye on your other Hornet campaigns, Badger633. FA-18C The Serpent's Head 2 Campaign Mission 10.trk
  11. I'm successfully running DCS with downscaling. I've set the DLDSR factor 2.25 set in NVCP: Internal game resolution is 2880x1620 pixels and output is 1920x1080 pixels. My Windows desktop resolution is the original 1920x1080 px. This has enabled me to switch from MSAAx2 and SSAAx1.5 to MSAAx4 only and improve the frame rate.
  12. Congratulations and thank you very much for this mission set! Really excellent work, very entertaining and diverse tasks, tight LZs and a great setting! I've tried skill level medium.
  13. Must have been some big release party yesterday... just two weeks (TM). Just kidding, take your time to release a good mission set, Presidium.
  14. You're looking at two different versions of the plane that are available to fly: The C-101EB trainer with the standard rudder top and the C-101CC light fighter with the dish-like antenna base on top of the rudder. Have a look at Chuck's guide page 11 for a comparison.
  15. Thanks, I've managed the start now - I guess I hadn't opened the throttle fully before starting the engine. It's a very enjoyable mission, a bit challenging with the tight takeoff space in the dark and the high external load and wind. The rich voice overs add a lot of atmosphere, as well as time of the day and weather you've chosen. I liked it very much! I finished on second attempt, crashed the cargo in my first try setting it down I imagine that it could be a bit difficult for a first campaign mission for pilots with little experience. I have 100+ hours in the Huey and about 70 in the Hip, just to provide a relation. I'm looking forward to the complete campaign, I'll certainly buy it like your Tiger and Harrier campaigns.
  16. Could it be implemented that static objects can support the Huey body if a skid is missing? This could be a tyre like in the picture or low crates etc. In today's state, the aircraft hull sinks into the object and is not supported by it. The collision model may have to be updated. Effect: After landing on a suitable support, taking off again should theoretically be possible. Unlike now when you end up on the side - unless you land on a slope. You can find examples of "mattress landings" of helicopters and Harriers with broken nose gear online. Of course, usually the aircraft would not attempt a new take off. This feature could be extended to all other helos with skids or landing gear and the Harrier. (Picture courtesy of user micro-flight from r/hoggit post on 2022-11-09.)
  17. Maybe it's just me and I'd forgotten the startup sequence since I couldn't get the chopper started. Then I noticed that the fuel gauge reads zero. But rearm/refuel or repair options don't have an effect. (On latest open beta as of Nov 2nd 2022)
  18. I received a similar response by Baltic Dragen to my question on Facebook yesterday; "Harrier on hold as more changes are planned. I will finish it when these are implemented, hate to do same things several times over" Good to know that more Harrier updates are coming, I think.
  19. (Spoiler warning) I scored just minor bomb damage on some UAZ in the convoy and then escaped towards Sirri when the fighter warning came in. I managed to evade the fighters and shot down one Fishbed. The message appeared that both the Fishbed and Phantom flights had been destroyed. Yet, after landing and taxiing back the result was only 50. Even my wingman survived this time. May the result be linked to scoring any A-G kills? I run the latest OB. I'd like to take the chance to commend your great campaign and scripting here, it's a lot of fun!
  20. Returning to the Tarawa in mission 2 in the Hormuz Strait Campaign (Case III), I had the FLOLS displayed. Now I understand it must have been because of the SC steaming closeby. I had contacted the Tarawa via radio, but didn't see any special comms.
  21. Thanks for your quick reply! If it's not happened before, then it was just me, so don't invest much time in it. I hadn't taken very long chasing the boats, probably I would have made it back without refueling. I will attach the track during the next days, just in case. If you can convince the thirsty Navy boys to leave some fuel for the Corps, it'd be much appreciated EDIT: Link to the track file on Google Drive https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uzxXPBdGJ7TK9KjmH2z022DI9DnMZxQI/view?usp=sharing
  22. Another observation: I contacted the KC-130 for refuelling after succesfully completing the objectives. When I joined up, the Hercules was starting to refuel one Tomcat and told me to hold off as another one was joining. My fuel was running low and when both Tomcats had completed refuelling after about 5 minutes, the Hercules packed up and flew home. Shouldn't be the Hercules on station for a longer time? (I managed to get back to the Tarawa and was just 100 to 200 lbs short of fuel: The engine quit when I started to transition sidewards on the carrier. Luckily I could hit ESC in time and end the mission without penalty.) EDIT: My compliments on the mission design, the first one was an excellent and immersive start into the campaign!
  23. This one, I guess, but I haven't tried it yet with the latest open beta. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/253277-ottoman-courier-prologue-campaign-now-out/?do=findComment&comment=4573393
  24. Having started mission 5 some triggers for the dialogue are apparently starting early. Any hint how to complete it?
  25. I used MSAAx2 and SSAAx1.5 in DCS for a long time at 1920x1200 resolution. With the new Nvidia drivers, I'm now running MSAAx4 in DCS, and DLDSRx2.25 plus AA transparency multisample in Nvidia control panel. Excellent performance and great picture quality, albeit with slight shimmering from time to time - but the performance gain is worth it.
